The Wildfire 2's precision-fit upper is made from a robust, recycled mesh, reinforced with a Kevlar cable mesh that wraps around the foot for flexibility, fit, and enhanced torsional stability and heel support. The Wildfire 2 also transitions quickly and easily from hiking to climbing mode thanks to the SALEWA® Switchfit adjustment system. The result: improved edging and grip performance and overall safety on technical terrain. The Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) insole also provides a customizable, narrower or wider fit for added comfort.
To tackle the toughest weather conditions, the Wildfire GTX shoe features a GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining that provides waterproof and breathable protection. The Pomoca Speed MTN outsole has a climbing zone at the toe and aggressive lugs for good traction in mud and on softer terrain, while S-Path technology ensures a more natural stride. Additionally, the POMOCA rubber is grippy and provides good friction in both dry and wet conditions.
