The Puez 2 Mid Powertex shoes are designed to provide a soft ride and long-lasting comfort for mountain hikes, allowing for versatile use in the city or on rugged trails and varied terrain. The upper is made of abrasion-resistant woven nylon and is reinforced with an external toe cap and all-around protective rubber band with a Powertex® membrane and an Alpine Hemp midsole that uses fewer resources. Circular and Sustainable Designed following a circular production strategy, the Alpine Hemp midsole under the forefoot is made from recycled hemp fabric waste and virgin hemp and reduces the use of EVA, saving resources and offering a sustainable perspective, without compromising performance. The sustainable laces in this model are also made from a combination of Alpine hemp with recycled polyester. Lasting Comfort The specially dedicated hiking last, dual EVA midsoles with graduated stiffness and softer cushioning in the heel, and the soft, customizable recycled CFF sockliner combine with the included additional volume reducer to offer greater comfort and a personalized fit. Cutting-edge technical solutions The Puez 2 Knit Mid Powertex features a Pomoca™ Alpine Trekker outsole for grip and traction on technical terrain. At the heart of its structure, integrated into the insole, is the new Salewa Edging Plate II, a special thermoplastic frame that runs the entire length of the boot and offers a combination of optimized flex and rebound for long-lasting comfort on hikes with certain levels of stiffness and flexion in the forefoot, and the heel depending on the stiffness, in addition to increased stability. In addition, the proven Salewa 3F system with Kevlar® cables ensures a firm fit at the ankle and wraparound stability in the midfoot. This is further enhanced by the climbing lacing system that runs all the way to the toe. This hiking shoe bears the Salewa Committed symbol and meets our additional strict criteria for sustainability and environmentally friendly production.
